The fuel has to be introduced into engine at a specific time and the amount of fuel entering the cylinder is also crucial in determining the power generated by the engine. While fuel injector is responsible for injecting the fuel into the engine, the system that instructs the injector about the quantity of fuel and the time for injection is the FICM (Fuel Injection Control Module).
